Message from Chief advisor Japan has experienced challenges that often accompany growth—such as a declining birthrate, aging population, labor shortages, urbanization, and rural depopulation—earlier than many other countries and regions in Asia. Through years of trial and error, Japan has accumulated valuable knowledge and experience in addressing these complex issues. Many Asian countries and regions will likely face similar challenges in the future, and we believe Japan’s accumulated insights can be shared as a form of public good. I am confident that deeper cooperation between Japan and other Asian countries and regions can lead to mutually beneficial relationships. Since my time as a politician and continuing to this day, I have been dedicated to fostering genuine friendship between Japan and Asia. True friendship is based on mutual respect—valuing both one’s own freedom and dignity as well as that of others. And the key to realizing this ideal lies in people. It is only through real human connection that we can truly understand one another, learn from each other’s knowledge and skills, and take the first step toward meaningful cooperation. Our organization is committed to helping solve shared issues between Japan and Asia and promoting genuine human connection. Through study abroad and talent development programs, we aim to contribute to education and human resource development for a new era. We sincerely ask for your continued understanding and support in these efforts.

Chiev advisor Yukio Hatoyama
In 2008, Japan formulated a national strategy to further develop as a global country based on world standards, expanding the acceptance of international students. In response to this policy, in 2011, we established this foundation with the goal of actively promoting the acceptance of talented individuals from China and various Asian countries. Our foundation is engaged in three major initiatives: Supporting the Study Abroad of High School and University Students from Overseas to Japanese Universities This includes publishing the comprehensive guidebook "Study Abroad Guide to Japan" and providing a one-stop solution "Japan University Union Entrance Exam / JPUE" to facilitate the direct acceptance of international students into Japanese universities. Teaching Japanese to Foreigners Aiming to Study or Work in Japan We have reformed traditional Japanese language learning, which was mainly focused on reading and listening, and now aim to teach practical Japanese that can be used in real-life situations. This involves developing teaching methods and learning materials for all four language skills. We also provide Japanese language instruction for international students at Japanese universities and conduct the Japanese language proficiency test for the four language skills. Our aim is to help students acquire Japanese that can be used for studying, working, and living in Japan. Promoting the Acceptance of SSW (Specified Skilled Workers) for Employment in Japan Given the rapid aging and declining birthrate in Japan, we are promoting the acceptance of foreign workers to maintain and expand various industries in Japan. Currently, we have domestic bases in Tokyo and Osaka, as well as overseas bases in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, where we support the acceptance of tens of thousands of foreign talents. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen partnerships with universities and companies in Japan, actively promoting the acceptance of excellent overseas talents, and contributing to Japan's globalization. Thank you for your continued support.
