Privacy Policy of the Japan-China-Asia Educational Medical Cultural Exchange Foundation

With the support of our supporting members, our association is carrying out various projects to promote mutual exchange in education, medicine, and culture between Japan, China, and Asia. We recognize that the personal information of those who participate in these business activities is an information asset that must be protected under a sufficient management system, and we have established and will implement the following personal information protection policy.

1. (Prohibition of acquisition, use, and provision of personal information, and use for purposes other than those stated)
When acquiring, using, or providing personal information, our association will handle personal information appropriately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, and will take and implement measures to ensure that the information is not used beyond the scope necessary to achieve the specified purposes of use.

Our foundation may acquire personal information to the extent necessary in business activities such as questionnaire surveys, event participation recruitment, and information processing.

2. Use
Our association will use personal information within the scope of the purposes of use specified in advance. Furthermore, we will take measures to ensure that the information is not used beyond the scope of the specified purposes of use.

3. Provision to third parties
The Association will not provide personal information to third parties, except when the individual gives consent or when required by law.

4. Entrustment
We may entrust the handling of personal information to a strictly managed contractor as necessary, within the scope of the purpose of use for which consent has been obtained in advance.

2. (Compliance with laws, regulations and other norms regarding personal information)
The Association will comply with national laws, guidelines and other norms that should be applied to the protection of personal information.

3. (Proper management of personal information)
The Foundation will properly manage the personal information it acquires, and will implement safety measures to prevent the risk of unauthorized access to personal information, loss, destruction, falsification and leakage of personal information, etc. Furthermore, if a problem occurs or safety is reduced, we will identify the cause and take corrective measures.

4. (Handling complaints and inquiries)
When The Association is requested by an individual to disclose, correct, delete, or refuse to provide personal information that it handles, or when it receives a complaint or inquiry, it will respond in good faith, respecting the individual's rights regarding personal information.
